Falkor Group has developed a baseline list of criteria our employees must meet to become a consultant working with our customers. We call them the 4 C's.

Consultative

It's important to understand the basic principles that separate a Consultant from a Contractor. A consultant is much more than an outside resource working on a project. Typically, those people are contractors. Generally, all consultants are contractors. But the reverse is not true. Not all contractors are consultants.

A Falkor Group consultant has the soft skills in conjunction with the technical expertise to provide a far greater value. They understand the importance of taking the time to learn as much about your environment and business to help you devise a strategy that meets your goals and overcomes your challenges. They subscribe to the adage of "listen twice as much as you speak". Once we have completed the task of understanding your needs and goals, we apply our technical expertise and knowledge of industry best practices to develop a strategy and roadmap to help you reach these goals. We also understand the importance of remaining flexible and reevaluate the plan to make adjustments and recommendations as your needs change.

Certified

All of our consultants are certified in their specialty disciplines in either Network Infrastructure or Application Development. We understand that certifications without real world hands-on experience offer no real value. Therefore, our consultants possess both real world enterprise-level experience with the technologies to support their skills and certifications.

We have a "no single-trick pony" policy for our team of consultants. This means the majority of our consultants are certified in not one, but two or more technologies. You can be assured that our consultants understand your needs from a broad range of experience. Falkor Group's team of best-in-class infrastructure and applications development consultants are not a group of single-focus technicians.

Communication Skills

Listen, explain, document and train. These are the steps that lead to our consultants' successful communication with our clients. For many of our customers, IT is a whole other language. We are a company of excellent translators.

This translation starts with and is based on our ability to listen first and foremost. Our experience has shown that most failures in supporting an IT environment can be traced back to a failure to listen at one point in the process.

Listening allows us to identify the problem and design the correct solution. Throughout the process our engineers explain the solution every step of the way. This ensures an accurate interpretation moving forward. Afterwards, we train the IT staff you may already have and make them a part of the solution, ensuring the quality and consistency needed for your organization's sustained progress.
